KPMG hires head of debt advisory for Asia

Richard Dawson joins KPMG as head of debt advisory, based in Hong Kong. In his new role, Richard will build a team to establish and grow the debt advisory business in China and Hong Kong, with a broader remit to cover the Asia-Pacific Region.

Prior to joining KPMG, Richard worked for 14 years at RBS and ABN AMRO. Most recently he was head of Corporate & Structured Debt Capital Markets for RBS in Asia-Pacific and previously as Global Head of Syndicated Loans at ABN AMRO.

"The size and complexity of the debt markets continue to grow and the flows of capital are becoming more and more international. This is particularly significant in Asia where the volume and the value of cross border trade, capital investment and acquisitions rise unabated," Dawson said

Dawson began his career at ABN AMRO’s Natural Resources structured finance group before establishing the bank’s portfolio management strategy business.
