Demand for entry-level staff like sales clerk and cashier led to a strong hiring demand as Chinese retailers expanded fast.
More than 64 percent retailers said they hoped to employ graduates from vocational schools, according to a joint survey by China Chain Store & Franchise Association and Wal-Mart China.
At the same time, 96 percent of retailers said they were willing to collaborate with vocational schools and offer trainee or internship positions to students.
