Harvey Norman CEO Katie Page “a bargain” at USD1.8m

Retail billionaire Gerry Harvey had better be on his game on Tuesday when he fronts Harvey Norman investors and asks them to pay 50 percent more for last year’s model.

It isn’t a TV set he has had to sell ahead of this week’s annual meeting, it is his better half, Harvey Norman chief executive, Katie Page. It doesn’t sound like it has been easy.

A recent ASX release said investors had requested a "clarification" of the chief executive’s pay packet, as detailed in the 2014 remuneration report. The 50 percent jump in Page’s base pay, from AUD1.43 million to AUD2.07 million (USD1.8m), seems to be the main bone of contention.
