Retail sales in Singapore increased 5.5 percent in September 2014 compared to the same month a year ago.
Data from Singapore Statistics showed that total retail sales value in September this year reached at an estimated USD3.1 billion, higher than the USD3 billion posted in September 2013.
When compared to sales in August 2014, retail sales for September, however, decreased 0.4 percent.
The total sales value of food & beverage services in September 2014 was estimated at USD620 million, which is lower than the USD622 million in September 2013. Sales of food & beverage services decreased 0.4 percent in September 2014 compared to the same period last year.
