Taiwan attracts foreign direct investment of over USD4.9b in 2011

Taiwan approved 2,283 foreign direct investment projects (except from China) with a total value of USD4.955 billion in 2011, respectively increasing by 11.80 percent and by 30.01 percent on year, according to Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) statistics.

Last year MOEA approved 306 outward direct investment projects (except in China) proposed by Taiwan-based companies or individuals with a total value of USD3.697b, respectively rising by 23.89 percent and by 30.93 percent on year.
