Over 100 international fashion, food and furniture brands are expected to shift their focus to Asia, especially Thailand, over the next three years.

Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO of Siam Piwat Co, the operator of Siam Centre and Siam Discovery, said the arrivals of new international fashion brands hoping to cash in on a rebound of the Thai economy after the floods should drive consumer spending by the middle of next year.

Three to four shopping malls in the Pathumwan area will increase their marketing budgets by at least 10 percent next year from a combined THB1 billion (USD31.88 million) this year.
