Thailand's general consumer price index (CPI) for January 2012 stood at 113.21, an increase of 3.38 percent on January 2011 and up 0.39 percent on December 2011, permanent secretary for commerce Yanyong Puangrach said on Wednesday.

Core CPI for the month, which excludes food and energy, rose 2.75 percent on the same month last year and an increase of 0.26 on December 2011 to stand at 107.26, said Yanyong.
