Retail leaders gather at Retail Asia Expo 2012

The fourth edition of the Retail Asia Expo has opened yesterday (12 June) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, the event attracts a prestigious line-up of exhibitors and the leading minds in the retail industry to address more than 8,000 retail decision makers.

At the opening ceremony yesterday, Matthew Pearce, Managing Director for the event organiser Diversified Events Hong Kong Ltd, delivered his opening speech. Guest of Hornour Vincent Fang Kang, SBS, JP, member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, also shared his view on the current retail market in Hong Kong.

The leading retail technology and design players participating this year include Sharp Corporation, OSRAM, Cheackpoint Systems, Asia Society of Visual Merchandiser and many others.

To explore best practices, new technologies and strategies in store design and digital market, Retail Asia Expo 2012 will bring together regional players from across the industry for the inaugural "Multi-Channel Retailing Conference" in Hong Kong on 12 June and 13 June. Running alongside the conference, more than 140 companies will participate in the Retail Asia Exhibition floor to showcase their latest retail technologies and designs.

The event is now open and will last until 14 June.
