inProjects announces merger with EC Harris, part of the EUR2.5 billion global ARCADIS group

EC Harris, the leading global built asset consultancy, has joined forces with inProjects, one of Asia’s foremost project management firms. The addition of inProjects strengthens EC Harris’s presence in Asia and creates the region’s leading programme and project management delivery organisation.

inProjects employs circa 200 people across its network of offices in Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore and India. inProjects provides project management services to a number of blue-chip clients in the retail, hotel, hospitality and leisure sectors including Adidas, Reebok, Swarovski, Citibank, Apple, Starbucks, Intercontinental Hotel Group, VF Group, Mövenpick, Hyatt, Cathay Pacific, Qantas and Las Vegas Sands. Financial details of the deal are not disclosed.

Matt Fletcher, Group Managing Director at inProjects said: “This deal is great news for our clients and our people. Joining forces with EC Harris gives our clients access to an even greater pool of skills and capability that will help them to meet the challenges they face on a day to day basis both within Asia and across the globe. Culturally EC Harris’s ambitions mirror our own, and I am confident that our people will enjoy the opportunity to learn from new colleagues and grow their careers within the larger group.”

As part of the deal EC Harris has also gained access to a specialist business line within inProjects called Genesis Solutions which brings industry-leading expertise in the sourcing and procurement of material for project fit-outs.

Through this merger EC Harris will take a 100% controlling share in both the inProjects and Genesis Solutions businesses. Both brands will continue to exist and will now operate as part of the wider EC Harris business in Asia.

EC Harris specialises in helping clients in a broad range of market sectors to maximise the return they see from their investment and expenditure on real estate and infrastructure assets. As an ARCADIS company, it can call upon the skills and resource of 22,000 professionals across the globe, including circa 4000 people in Asia based out of more than 50 different offices across the region.

Graham Kean, Regional Leader, Asia at EC Harris said: “I am genuinely excited to welcome our new colleagues. inProjects is, put simply, the best at what they do and will bring an unrivalled degree of knowledge and expertise to our clients. We are seeing strong demand for a single provider to manage their footprint both within Asia and across the globe, so together we will be able to meet these needs and continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients wherever they need us to be.”

ARCADIS is the leading global natural and built asset design and consultancy firm working in partnership with clients to deliver exceptional and sustainable outcomes through the application of design, consultancy, engineering, project and management services. It has offices across Europe, the US, South America, Middle East and Asia with a headquarters in the Netherlands. The company generated €2.5 billion in revenue last year and is listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange.

Today ARCADIS has over 4,000 people across Asia comprising ARCADIS, EC Harris, multi-disciplinary cost management consultancy Langdon & Seah and architecture and design firm RTKL. ARCADIS and inProjects have been long-term strategic alliance partners for a number of years, delivering project management services for multinational corporates across the region.

Stephanie Hottenhuis, the ARCADIS Executive Board Member responsible for Asia said: “inProjects is a well-established business with a strong track record of success for world-class clients. This deal clearly reflects our strategy to build and strengthen our leadership position in project and programme management.”

Matt Fletcher and Peter Hurst from inProjects will join the EC Harris Asia leadership team, reporting into Regional Leader Graham Kean.

Matt Fletcher added: “The depth and breadth of talent we now have access to as part of this merger means we can provide an unmatched platform when it comes to the successful roll-out of complex programmes of work both within Asia and across the globe.”
