Kuehne + Nagel opens new office in Chiang Mai

Kuehne + Nagel has opened a new office in Chiang Mai to meet the strong demand for integrated logistics services in Thailand, especially in the industry segments high-tech and perishables.

Located on the northern part of Thailand, Chiang Mai is the country’s second largest city with a high concentration of consumer electronics manufacturing companies. Furthermore, the location is home to the country’s leading flowers exporters. Many of Kuehne + Nagel’s customers are operating there, due to the city’s geographical advantages on the one hand and the Chiang Mai Free Trade Zone on the other hand.

"The opening is an important step in the development of Kuehne + Nagel in Thailand. With the network stretching to Chiang Mai, we are able to further enhance our service levels for our customers through closer local contacts," said Pascal Martin, managing director of Kuehne +Nagel Thailand. The new Chiang Mai office is strategically located in the city’s central district with fast access to all major infrastructure facilities.

In Thailand, Kuehne + Nagel operates offices in Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Phuket, Chiang Mai and employs around 400 people. The company is number one in seafreight and among the top providers of airfreight services and contract logistics solutions in the country.
