Brands spend USD4.64b to lift sales in HK

Advertising spending in Hong Kong reached a record HKD36.03 billion (USD4.64b) last year, driven by the continued growth of marketing campaigns in the banking, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.
Market-monitoring firm admanGo said that was a 16 percent increase from HKD30.98b in 2010 and 38 percent higher than the HKD26.1b the market posted in 2009.
