There’s an app for that: Uber drives consumers to Topshop

If you drive them, they will come. The latest ploy to get shoppers into a store has come from the car chauffeuring business Uber, which has teamed up with the UK chain Topshop and Mini Cooper cars.

Under the promotion, which ran over the weekend, shoppers could download the Uber app and register to be collected from a designated destination, then taken to the Sydney Topshop store.

It was the first such promotion undertaken by the retailer globally, and more than 300 keen shoppers responded to the call in Sydney.
