“Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” awarded the Best Asian Property

At the opening ceremony of the ninth Hong Kong International Licensing Show, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) announced the award winners of the seventh Premier Asian Licensing Awards. Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, which also wins the award of the Best Entertainment License, is awarded the Best Asian Property.

The winning company Creative Power Entertaining Company Ltd began to diversify their businesses in 2009 in the wake of the success of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf series. Following this was the publication of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf magazine in September 2009 which turned out to be the highest circulation children magazine in China and the volume of each issue has hit 500,000 copies. In addition, Creative Power Entertaining Co Ltd worked in collaboration with Children’s Fun Publication Co Ltd to publish a series of Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf in the amount of some 13 million pieces which was worth CNY150 million (USD22.62m) in production terms.

The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, which opens today and continues through 12 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is showcasing more than 500 licensing properties, spanning cartoon animations, movies, arts, fashion, sports and top universities.
