China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories to feature over 800 booths in HK this Oct

Exhibitor booths at Global Sources’ China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories have been sold out two months before the show’s scheduled run on  27-30 October at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

"Quality suppliers in the Greater China region continue to see our show as a unique and highly effective platform for trading with the world’s top fashion buyers," said Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions. "This October Fair will be our largest-ever fashion accessories show. Over 800 booths have been sold out well in advance and this represents a remarkable 30 percent growth from a year ago."

China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories was launched in 2006 as Hong Kong’s first specialised fashion accessories trade show. This October show will be co-located with China Sourcing Fairs: Garments & Textiles, Underwear & Swimwear and India Sourcing Fair: Garments & Accessories. These four Fairs, specialising in fashion-related products, constitute an unmatched one-stop sourcing event in Hong Kong during Asia’s peak sourcing season.

The increasingly popular events are taking place amid strong export growth for these product lines. In the first seven months of 2011, mainland China’s apparel and accessories industry generated sales of USD83.12 billion, up by 24.4 percent from the same period a year earlier, according to mainland China Customs statistics.

The fashion jewellery and bags pavilions are each 50 percent larger than at last October’s show. The scale of the pavilions for socks and headwear, scarves & gloves is also bigger than previous events.

While the majority of exhibitors for the October 2011 show hail from mainland China, buyers can also have the opportunity to see competitive fashion products from other production centers such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, South Korea and the Philippines.
