Netherlands’ Storeage opens retail strategy and design office in China

Storeage, the Amsterdam-based retail design agency, has opened a full-service retail strategy and design office in Beijing.

Storeage has worked in Asia for many years out of its Singapore branch. Through its new office, the company aims to help Chinese brands to become global players, and equally, helping global players achieve success in China.

The company said in a statement that the highly successful new retail concept for Hewlett Packard and its work for LG, Nokia, Levis and various sports brands in China and other parts of Asia were major factors in its decision to expand into the market. It also sees major growth potential across almost all industries in the Chinese market, most notably sports, electronics and service-related channels.

The new office will be headed up by Li Kang, who completed a Master of Design from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, and was hired specifically to manage Storeage’s accounts in China.
