Japanese fast fashion giant Uniqlo on Tuesday said it will continue its expansion in the US by opening five new stores this spring/summer – one in Pennsylvania, one in Connecticut and three in California.
The casual clothing chain also plans to explore new markets in the country such as downtown Philadelphia, Boston and Los Angeles-Southern California this fall. To staff these new stores, it plans to hire and train sever
Uniqlo currently operates 17 stores in the US and an online shopping website.
The Japanese retailer named Larry Meyer, former CFO of Forever 21, to be Uniqlo US CEO last month and aims to operate 200 stores in the country by 2020.
