Groupon HK opens new concept store

Groupon is opening of a new concept store at Windsor House in Causeway Bay. The store will serve as a redemption center of products purchased from the company’s vast online and mobile marketplace.

Upon customers’ arrival, purchased items are instantly dispatched via an in-store conveyor system ready for pick up within moments. The new process reduces the wait time for Groupon customers by half.

The Groupon Concept Store is a proven hit with Hong Kong shoppers with an average of 100,000 visitors per month since the original store opened in 2012. At close to 6,000 square feet of retail floor space, the new store is approximately 45 percent larger than the previous location and features a faster and simpler redemption process.

“The move to a larger space signifies the overwhelming demand, which has increased rapidly since Groupon introduced the online-to-offline shopping model in Hong Kong with the original store,” said Catherine So, Managing Director of Groupon Hong Kong.

“We are committed to serving our customers and the store mirrors our overall value proposition – a personal experience, delivered quickly and conveniently, with new live redemption deals every day,” said So. “We will continue to provide our customers with the best deals in town expanding our offerings to various popular international brands such as Sony, Gilman, Nescafe, Chicco and Zwilling JA Henckels. It is an important milestone in our continued efforts to offer the best products and services to Hong Kong customers.”

To celebrate the occasion, Groupon is featuring a collection of exclusive in-store redemption deals and weekly product giveaways through the week of 16 September.
