Fiat India is planning to double its sales this year to 50,000 units against the 24,000 units it sold last year, president and CEO Rajeev Kapoor said on 15 March at the launch of two models of its hatchback, the Punto.
The two new 1.2-L petrol-fired Punto models are the Punto Fire Dynamic and Punto Emotion, priced at INR4.57 lakh (INR457,000, USD10,039) and INR4.87 lakh (INR487,000, USD10,697) (ex-showroom Delhi, or price excluding road tax and registration out of Delhi), respectively, taking the battle for the B-plus hatchback segment to a new height.
