As part of its continuing plans for global expansion, the 10,000 sq-ft. store which has an added in-store feature of an eight-panel monitor display is UNIQLO’s fourth store in Singapore since its debut in April 2009.

"Once again, we are very pleased by the positive response from the public that UNIQLO has once again received. We are delighted that we are able to make our brand more accessible to everyone by opening a store in an inland location. This is a testimony that people continue to be drawn to the high-quality and innovative products that we can offer." said Satoshi Onoguchi, co-managing director for UNIQLO Singapore Pte. Ltd.

A new designed UNIQLO tote bag was given to the first 500 customers for the opening day. Exclusive to the new store at VivoCity, limited one piece tumblers will be given for every USD100 net spent in a single receipt. An original Cath Kidston fan also comes with every purchase of two items from the Cath Kidston Charity Project.

As many as 200 people formed a queue at the store even before its official opening time, some lining up at the store entrance as early as 8:30am. The dedicated UNIQLO staff are all on duty to facilitate the queue ensuring a smooth flow for the opening day. The staff’s assistance and the many cashier points guaranteed a pleasant shopping experience for everyone.

Doors opened promptly at 10am and customers were able to browse through UNIQLO’s diverse range of apparel.
