Prada opens in Yongin, South, Korea

Prada opened its first store in Yongin, South Korea, in the prestigious Gyeonggi Shinsegae department store.

Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the store occupies a total surface area of about 205 square metres and presents women’s bags, accessories and footwear collections and men’s travel and accessories collections.

The façade, covered with steel-edged black Marquina marble, features a wide entrance with a large display window and a light box on either side.

The distinguishing elements of Prada’s worldwide identity, such as black and white chequered marble floors and pale green canvas-lined walls, define the interior layout.

Products are displayed in polished steel units with marble drawers and glass counters enhanced with coloured saffiano-leather details. Soft, green
velvet sofas complete the setting.
