China’s baby show CBME sets new record in 2011

The Shanghai International Children-Baby-Maternity Industry Expo (CBME) announced record results for its 11th edition. The three-day event which held from 20-22 July, attracted 88,062 trade visitors from 78 countries and regions.

The tradeshow covered an area of 80,500 square metres in a total of 3,700 booths, 1,043 exhibitors and 1,564 brands, including 474 overseas brands, such as Aprica, Pegperego, Stokke, Avent, Chicco, NUK, MAM, Visiomed, Nuby, Medela, Playtex, Britax, Joovy, Mothercare, OKBABY, GRACO, MAXI-COSI, Combi, etc.

National presentations included pavilions from Italy, Korea and Taiwan. In addition, the Spanish Manufacturers Association of Children’s Products (ASEPRI) and Children’s Fashion Europe (CFE) were all interested in the Asian market and participated in CBME.

CBME has continuously grown for 11 years. It serves as a one-stop sourcing platform for products for newborn babies, children up to 16 years old and expectant mothers including baby and maternity care products; baby carriages, car seats and furniture; baby food and healthcare products; baby’s and children’s clothing, footwear and accessories; maternity clothing, underwear and accessories; toys, educational products and souvenirs.

The 12th CBME will be held 18-20 July 2012 in Shanghai with a 103,500-square-metre exhibition area and 1,200 expected exhibitors with 1,900 brands.
