IKEA unveils STOCKHOLM Collection

IKEA has unveiled its new STOCKHOLM Collection in its Hong Kong stores, which it said integrates warm and homey designs that are also both contemporary and classic.

The combination of high quality and timeless designs create a luxury feeling in everyday life. The leaf-shaped STOCKHOLM Coffee Table, for example, which retails for HKD1,990 (USD) can be used as a bedside table, or placed at different corners with decorations. The walnut veneer surface shows strength and durability.

The STOCKHOLM three-seat sofa made of natural and highly durable full-grain leather, and retails for HKD14,900 (USD), gives a soft and natural look to fit easily into any living space. The seat and back cushions provide comfortable support for the body as they are filled with resilient foam and polyester fibers.

Meanwhile, the STOCKHOLM Chandelier, which retails for HKD1,190 (USD) is designed like water dripping gracefully from a spider’s web, and helps to reduce the usage of unnecessary materials, making it natural and environmentally friendly.

“When designing the STOCKHOLM chandelier, I thought about nature and found ways to use less material, which lowers the impact on the environment as well as the cost,” said the designer, Marcus Arvonen.

From the design details to the selection of materials, IKEA said it hopes to bring a comfortable feel to customers with this series.
