Swedish furniture company IKEA on Friday opened its first "Pick-up and order point" in Asia, in Thailand’s Phuket province.
Thakoeng Banjongrak, pickup point manager of IKEA Thailand, said many people from Phuket bought products at the IKEA Bangna store in Samut Prakan province and had to pay for delivery to Phuket.
The Phuket branch would capitalise on this demand, providing added convenience and lower costs for customers in an area of growing property development and tourism.
