Burberry model Jourdan Dunn celebrates store opening in Japan

British Burberry model Jourdan Dunn hosted an event to celebrate the brand’s new store in heart of Omotesando, Tokyo recently.

The in-store cocktail event, was attended by over 400 guests including Burberry models Ryohei Yamada and Charlie France, as well as Rihito, Tenko, Nanae Ubukata, Ayana Miyamoto, Miho Shida and Shohei Yamashita, all of whom wore Burberry. British DJ Mark Birtles of Tokyo Indie performed a live set.

Set over four floors, the new store created under the design direction on Christopher Bailey, houses the largest Burberry product assortment in Japan, including the brand’s full menswear and womenswear collections.

The store’s illuminated glass façade celebrates the Burberry check, while the interior references British architecture throughout. Video screens enable the broadcast of Burberry content and live events directly from the brand’s global headquarters in London.

Burberry said the newly relocated Burberry Omotesando store demonstrates the brand’s long-term commitment to Japan, where it currently has 16 stores, including its Kobe flagship, and stores in Ginza Marronnier Dori and Roppongi.
