HK big malls have a very merry Christmas
Fuelled by an influx of mainland shoppers, Hong Kong's properties company Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) says its flagship mall in Kowloon registered record sales during the Christmas holidays and forecast that the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday would see more record sales.
Other Hong Kong shopping mall operators, such as Wharf Holding's Times Square in Causeway Bay, also registered good performances during Christmas.
SHKP leasing department general manager Maureen Fung Sau-yim said apm shopping mall rang up 40 percent year-on-year growth last month, helped by Christmas holiday, to earn HKD320 million (USD41.2m).
