Toys ‘R’ Us revamps websites; introduces social shopping

Toys “R” Us redesigned its e-commerce sites Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com. The new design, layout and revamped navigation are expected to provide more ease to deal seekers to last-minute shoppers to find great savings and information about the company’sproducts.

The new look also supports social shopping, allowing customers to organize their most-wanted items in shareable toy and baby boards and view the most popular and trending products on the sites.

Since their launches in 1998 and 2000, respectively, Toysrus.com and Babiesrus.com have catered to busy moms, dads and grandparents for all their toy-buying needs, and today provide convenient access to approximately 55,000 toys and 50,000 baby products.

The company said the changes implemented on the sites were based on feedback from loyal customers and fine-tuned by focus group discussions and surveys.

Fred Argir, Senior Vice President, Chief Digital Officer, Toys "R" Us Inc., said the websites receive more than 450 million visits annually.
