Sephora to expand online presence in Southeast Asia through ZALORA

Sephora has partnered with ZALORA in distributing its beauty products in Southeast Asia.

This will be the first time Sephora will be available for for purchase online initially in Singapore and Malaysia. The company has plans to expand to Malaysia in the middle of this year.

ZALORA’s strong foothold in the region’s fashion and beauty e-commerce market means Sephora will launch to an already highly established customer base who are looking to purchase fashion and beauty items online.

Harry Markl, regional managing director of ZALORA said fashion e-commernce site has has over 15 million visits to its sites monthly.

"Having such a well-loved and aspirational brand such as Sephora come on board is a great example of how traditional retailers can partner with e-commerce to not only introduce their brand into new markets, but to improve the overall customer experience by seamlessly fusing online and offline shopping,” he said.

Drina Chee, Regional Marketing Director at Sephora Asia Pte Ltd, said with so many people connected to the internet in this part of the world, it makes sense to bring Sephora online in the region.
