Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day, when in the West the holiday shopping season starts. This shopping trend is fast catching on in India too. "We wanted to do something special for our visitors this year, which is why we’re introducing our Black Friday Weekend sale for the first time. We have brought a vast range of international and local brands featuring both party wear and winter pieces to indulge in for this season," said Nils Chrestin, Interim CEO at Jabong and Group CFO of Global Fashion Group.

Jabong is one of the five fashion ecommerce companies operating within Global Fashion Group (GFG), a fashion group for emerging markets that operates in 28 countries. Jabong has launched several leading global fashion brands in the Indian market including Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, River Island, Tom Tailor and Bugatti Shoes.

The fashion e-tailer successfully ran the Jabong Durga Puja Festive offer, the Dhanteras 101 prices offer besides Diwali Super Style Fest for the season earlier. British fashion brands Topshop and Topman which were launched recently, saw a 300 percent growth within a month.

Jabong was voted as the leading consumer brand among all online fashion retailers in India according to a July 2015 report by Nielsen.
