Filipino company develops mobile POS app for SMEs

Alliance Software Inc., a Filipino-owned software development company recently released WebPOS Mobile, the newest addition to its line up of IT applications and support service offerings for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

WebPOS Mobile puts the functionality of traditional POS hardware to mobile devices. “As we diversify our operations to cater to more SMEs, we wanted to tap this whole new market segment that still transacts the entire retail process manually,” said Robert Cheng, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Software.

The company’s first web-based and SaaS POS system in the Philippines, the Alliance WebPOS, is now widely used by more than 2,500 businesses across the entire country.

Cheng explained that WebPOS Mobile features full cashiering capabilities for mobile devices running in iOS and Android operating systems. It is integrated to WebPOS, our web-based POS service that follows the Software as a Service (SaaS) architecture for centralized hosting, and anytime, anywhere access.

Moreover, SMEs can now take advantage of new mobile devices in the market like tablets, phablets and Wi-Fi POS printers, which are now more affordable and widely available. www.alliancewebpos.com.
