Brickstream opens new office in Shanghai

Brickstream, a provider of behavior intelligence solutions for environments where people shop, gather, work and play recently opened a new office in Shanghai, China.

The company’s in-store solutions help retailers and mall operators capture data on traffic and behavior to better understand how things like service, promotions and even store location and layout impact shopping patterns.

Mall operators and specialty retailers throughout China use Brickstream’s in-store analytics technology to accurately count foot traffic and capture insights on shopping behavior in their locations.

The Shanghai office further expands Brickstream’s global footprint, which also includes offices in the United Kingdom and Singapore.

Brickstream’s in-store solutions help retailers and mall operators capture data on traffic and behavior to better understand how things like service, promotions and even store location and layout impact shopping patterns.

Installed overhead, Brickstream’s 3D smart analytics devices count people entering and exiting locations and collect anonymous customer behavior data on occupancy, dwell time, traffic paths, queue wait times and more. This information may be analyzed and used in a number of ways: For example, mall operators can take advantage of the intelligence captured to substantiate the value of retail spaces, determine rental rates and attract tenants.

"As we introduce in-store analytics into more and more client sites, we welcome the local support and technical expertise that Brickstream brings to the Chinese market," said Eric Wang, General Manager for Shanghai Unicross, a Brickstream reseller partner. "Our customers want to take advantage of technologies that will help them maximize the return on their investments, and Brickstream behavior intelligence solutions deliver valuable insights that can improve decision-making, strategy and, ultimately, retail site performance."

Brickstream’s Shanghai office is located in the ChangNing district and is managed by Jasmine Xue, a multi-lingual sales executive and native Shanghainese with years of technology and retail industry experience.

"The opening of our Shanghai office underscores Brickstream’s commitment to supporting our channel partner network — and the developer, mall operator and retail community — in high growth Asia Pacific markets," said Todd Jarvis, Vice President, Business Development for Brickstream. "Local knowledge and relationships are important, and we are excited to have Xue and her team on the ground in this highly strategic market."
