Ogilvy, Mindshare top Indian agencies

Ogilvy, Mindshare and Webchutney are regarded as being the top agencies in their fields in India, a survey of senior executives has revealed.

The Economic Times, the newspaper, and IMRB, the research firm, polled 617 business leaders representing both clients and agencies, and all with over five years industry experience.

Ogilvy, owned by WPP Group, was named as the best creative agency, a role it has occupied since 2005. JWT, a unit of the same holding company, similarly took second for the third year in a row.

Singapore warns inflation will stay elevated in near term

Singapore on Wednesday reported annual inflation of 5.5 percent for December, slightly down from November's three-year high of 5.7 percent, but it warned that cost pressures will stay elevated for a few more months before easing.

"Year-on-year inflation in CPI-All Items will likely remain elevated over the next few months," the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said in a joint statement.

New MTR line set to transform HK's industrial district

Prices of sites in Hong Kong's industrial district Wong Chuk Hang are soaring, and the area is likely to see significant change with a new MTR line being built nearby.

"Prices and rents of the industrial buildings in Wong Chuk Hang used to be the cheapest on Hong Kong Island – cheaper even than Chai Wan," said Gary Leung, sales director of the industrial department at Centaline Property Agency.

Macau's Rainbow Group increases retail presence at Grand Lapa

Rainbow Group, Macau's largest distributor of high-end brand products, is taking over three more shops at the Grand Lapa Hotel, a source close to the deal told Macau Business.

The shops are located on the ground floor of the five-star hotel and were previously occupied by brands like Hermes, Salvatore Ferragamo and Dunhill.
