Parkson, a premium fashion and lifestyle department store, has finally arrived in Jakarta, opening its doors last week at the upscale Lippo Mall Puri, St. Moritz, in West Jakarta.
Parkson is operated in Indonesia by Tozy Sentosa, which also operates Centro department stores at malls such as Plaza Semanggi.
Tozy Sentosa plans to open more Centro and Parkson department stores in Indonesia over the next couple of years. "Our ambition is to open more and more stores, but in very selected markets and cities," said Toh Peng Koon, CEO of Parkson Retail Asia. "We plan to open another four in the next two years outside Jakarta."
