Tencent builds e-commerce centre in China’s Guangzhou

Tencent Ecommerce Holding Co, the online shopping unit of China’s largest internet company Tencent, said it started building a billion-yuan (USD161.3 million) e-commerce operation centre in the southern city of Guangzhou.

The operation centre will be built next year or early 2015 with a 200,000-square-metre logistics centre to catch up with business rivals such as Alibaba and 360Buy.
